The Stem Pledge
To see me at my best
Let me bask in the sunshine and water me only when my soil is dry.
Height is measured from the bottom of the plastic nursery pot (please allow a +/-10% variance). Diameter is the nursery pot diameter, so to get a pot that fits, the pot diameter should be bigger.
How to look after me
I love the sunshine - you can put me in direct light.
From Spring to Autumn water when the top soil has dried out, in winter water sparingly.
Feed me once in spring and once in summer.
I like a temperature between 10-27°C and low humidity.
Make sure to plant me in a sturdy planter to avoid me tipping over when I grow bigger!
Things to look out for
Shrunken wrinkled leavesThis is most likely a sign of under-watering. Water your aloe!
Pale / yellow leavesMaybe a sign of overwatering or not enough light.
Dark spotsMake sure you haven't overwatered me - if my soil feels wet repot me into fresh soil to avoid root rot.
ToxicToxic if ingested - keep away from pets and children.
Air-purificationAloe is effective at cleaning benzene and formaldehyde from the air.
