The Calamondin tree (also known as the Philippine lime tree) is an indoor or outdoor plant. This miniature fruit tree bears the calamondin fruit all year round, which is a kumquat and tangerine hybrid. About Calamondin Tree

History

Calamondin trees are a citrus trees originating from China. They are now cultivated throughout India, Southern Asia and the Philippines. The tree is now used as an ornamental plant around the world, whilst its fruits are used for juice, cooking and baking.

Cultivation

When grown outside in its native conditions, Calamondin trees can grow up to 30 feet in height, but are now most commonly grown in pots as decorative trees.

Care

Calamondin trees prefer bright sun throughout the day. Be sure to place them inside on a sunny window sill as soon as the temperatures begin to drop.
