Bird of Paradise Care Tips

The White Bird of Paradise is one of the most popular houseplants around. Not only are they seriously stunning to look at, but they're also easy to care for and make awesome gifts for your friends and family.

These glossy green statement plants love the sunshine, so will be happy living in a bright room, near a window. As they tend to work best as architectural centrepieces, we suggest putting them in your living room or bedroom, where you can admire them in all their glory.

Bird of Paradise like to be watered when the top half of their soil has dried out. You can check the moisture levels by dipping your finger into the soil. After watering, we suggest letting them drain as they really hate their roots sitting in water.

Finally, as Bird of Paradise are tropical plants, they tend to like higher levels of humidity. We suggest misting regularly to help recreate their natural habitat. You can also use a humidifier or keep in a steamy room such as your bathroom or kitchen if you have enough space and sunlight.
