How to look after me
I like morning or evening sunshine, but keep me out of the midday sun which can scorch my leaves.
Water me liberally during summer months, as my soil will dry out quickly. Water me less frequently in the cooler winter months, but ensure my soil is kept moist at all times.
Feed me once a month in spring and summer.
Mist me regularly to keep my foliage fresh.
Things to look out for
Brown, crispy leavesPotentially hard water is causing problems or humidity is too low.
Plant dying backIn winter your plant will go into dormancy; if it is not winter though and your plant is dying back check location, light and watering.
Wilting plantCheck compost and aim for moist not wet soil, make sure there is no root rot.
ToxicityAll parts are poisonous - keep away from pets and children.
